Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation
Thirty million tonnes of coal have been delivered to needy people in the recent 17 years under the social assistance policies.
Under the scope of Social State perspective, needy families having poor economic conditions were provided coal for heating purposes within the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources body and under the coordination of TKI between 2003 and 2018 by the Decrees of the Council of Minister. This policy has been maintained after the Year 2019 by the Presidential Decrees. This implementation is the most comprehensive and the longest-lasting social aid project in the field of mining in Turkey and helps to recover domestic and national coal resources as well as provide heating requirements of needy people.
After the Year 2003, our enterprise has performed an attentive operation in delivering qualified and domestic coal to needy families on time.
In this context, our enterprise delivered thirty million tonnes of coal to the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations in the recent 17 years until 2003 to be distributed to needy families countrywide. In 2020, 1.6 million tonnes of coal was distributed to 2 million families following Presidential Decree No. 1949.
